Independent Mental Health Counselors Serving East Snohomish County and Beyond
I love working with people, sharing in their stories, offering compassion, and providing guidance as able. In counseling, I aim to present a personal and supportive therapeutic relationship, reinforced by strong and safe boundaries. I believe the environment of therapy matters. You can expect a space that is distinctly warm, respectful, and deeply relational. I use empathy and curiosity to guide you in the pursuit of fulfillment and success, while also helping to effectively regulate emotions and increase functioning across all aspects of life. I work with adult and adolescent individuals who have a desire to reduce suffering and seek peace, establish lasting connections through repaired or renewed relationships, and engage in a collaborative process in the pursuit of contentment and growth.
I take a holistic approach to therapy. This means that not only are your mental and emotional needs considered, but so are your physical, relational, spiritual, and environmental necessities. My therapeutic philosophy is most influenced by training and education in Relational, Existential, and Attachment theories. However, I will also incorporate aspects of Cognitive, Brief Solution-Focused, and Dialectical-Behavioral approaches to our work as needed.
I believe all individuals are full of the potential for self-actualization. With compassion and tenderness, I seek to be direct when calling out the best in people. I hope to help individuals obtain full responsibility for health and well-being.
My Background
I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. In 2012, I received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. Since 2013, I have worked as a clinician with Compass Health, providing mental health counseling to men, women, and couples. In 2018 I took the position of Clinical Supervisor with Compass Health, enabling me to supervise other counselors in the field. While remaining in that position, I also work with adults and older adolescents in my private practice.
